An MA in Craft Studies?

Greetings everyone!

I had the wonderful opportunity of speaking with the Director of this new program. It was a breath of fresh air to speak with someone who is passionate about the practicum and history coming into one space. Director Namita Wiggers and Warren Wilson College have been touring to inform, collaborate and recruit those who come from multiple disciplines in craft to preserve and defend craft studies in academics. I am actually traveling in January to go sit with an MA cohort for 2 days to learn more about the program in Asheville. I will admit, I was disappointed there wasn’t an MFA determination, which supports you in teaching; however, Director Wiggers and I both agree that Art & Design schools are most appreciative of your skill than the credentials than what I consider traditional institutions.

Here is more about the program if you are interested.
